Privacy policy
This policy explains how OCTOEN handles personal data on this website. It covers OCTOEN Endüstri A.Ş. (Türkiye) and its US arm, OCTOEN LLC.
Who is responsible
OCTOEN Endüstri A.Ş., Şeyh Şamil OSB Mah. Halis Vermezoğlu Cad. No: 37, Merkez / Sivas, Türkiye, and OCTOEN LLC, 2501 Chatham Rd Ste N, Springfield, IL 62704-4188, USA. For privacy questions, write to [email protected].
What we collect
- Details you send us: your name, company, email, phone, country, daily waste amount and message, when you write to us or use the quote form.
- Your quote list: the products you add are stored in your own browser and reach us only when you send a request.
- Usage data: only if you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity record how the site is used, for example pages viewed, time on a page, approximate country, clicks and scrolling.
Technical documents by email
When you request a technical document, we use your email address to send you the download link. We may share it with the OCTOEN sales team so they can follow up on your request. We do not sell it or use it for anything else.
Site assistant
If you use the AI assistant, your messages are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce an answer. To improve the assistant's answers, conversations are stored for 12 months with personal details such as email addresses and phone numbers removed, and are reviewed by the OCTOEN team. Please do not enter personal or confidential information in the chat.
Why we use it
To answer your request and prepare a quote, to run and improve the website (analytics only with your consent) and to meet our legal obligations. Under KVKK (Türkiye) and the GDPR (EU), we rely on your consent, on steps you ask us to take before a contract (such as a quote) and on our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries.
Who we share it with
Within OCTOEN (OCTOEN Endüstri A.Ş. and OCTOEN LLC), with service providers that help us run the website and our sales process (for example hosting, analytics and the AI assistant), and with authorities when the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.
Where it is processed
OCTOEN works in Türkiye and the United States, so your data may be processed in both countries. Transfers are made in line with the applicable law.
How long we keep it
Request data is kept as long as needed to answer and follow up on your request and to meet legal retention periods. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the analytics tools. Assistant conversations, with personal details removed, are kept for 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use or withdraw your consent at any time. Residents of Türkiye have the rights in Article 11 of KVKK, residents of the EU have their rights under the GDPR, and residents of US states with privacy laws (such as California) can ask to know, correct or delete their data. Write to [email protected]. You can also contact your data protection authority.
