Classic Fashion Apparel Turns Factory Food Waste into Compost for Sandy Land in Jordan

Classic Fashion Apparel, the apparel manufacturer headquartered in Jordan, runs an OCTOEN ECO-500 KSN together with an OCTOEN shredder at its factory in the Al Hassan Industrial Estate in Irbid. Food waste from the factory's kitchens is processed on site instead of being hauled away.

From food waste to greener land

The shredder cuts the food waste into small pieces, and the ECO-500 KSN turns it into compost in a 12-24 hour composting cycle, reducing its volume by up to 90%. The compost is then spread over sandy land around the site. Organic matter helps sandy soil hold water, which supports the factory's greening work in a dry climate.

Why it matters for large factories

A large factory kitchen produces food waste every day. Processing it on site cuts hauling and the amount of waste sent to landfill, and the output goes straight back into the site. The ECO-500 KSN handles up to 500 kg (1,102 lb) a day, runs on one-button PLC control and uses activated carbon and UVC filtration to stay odorless.
