Grünenthal's Pharmaceutical Plant in Chile Composts Its Organic Waste with an OCTOEN ECO-130 KSN

Grünenthal, the pharmaceutical company, uses an OCTOEN ECO-130 KSN at its plant in Santiago, Chile. Organic waste from the site becomes compost where it is produced.
How the ECO-130 KSN works
The ECO-130 KSN handles up to 130 kg (285 lb) of food and organic waste a day. It is built from stainless steel and runs on PLC control with a 7-inch touch panel and one-button operation. An enzyme-assisted process at 45-75 °C (113-167 °F) turns the waste into compost in a 12-24 hour composting cycle and reduces its volume by up to 90%. Activated carbon and UVC filtration keep it odorless, and the OCTOEN Carbon Tracker software records what the machine processes.
A fit for industrial sites
Plants with staff cafeterias produce organic waste every day. On-site composting cuts hauling and landfill, and the data from the machine supports a site's sustainability reporting.
