Portonovi in Montenegro Composts Its Restaurant Waste On Site with an OCTOEN ECO-30 KSN

At Portonovi on Montenegro's Bay of Kotor, an OCTOEN ECO-30 KSN processes the waste from the hotel's restaurants. Kitchen scraps become compost on site instead of leaving the property in a waste truck.
A compact unit for hotel kitchens
The ECO-30 KSN is our compact on-site food waste composter, sized for up to 30 kg (66 lb) of food waste a day. It runs on a standard single-phase supply, needs no water connection and is controlled from a simple keypad panel. Waste goes in at the end of service and becomes compost in a 12-24 hour composting cycle, with its volume reduced by up to 90%.
Why it fits a resort
Hotels on the coast pay for every waste pickup, and food waste is the heaviest and wettest part of it. Handling it on site cuts pickups, keeps the back of house cleaner and gives guests a visible sign of the hotel's Zero Waste work.
